Photography & Gowning
Robing and photography will start from 4pm. Details of your allocated robing and photography times are outlined below (see on the day). You must arrive no later than 5.15pm in order to take part in the ceremony.
Every graduating student MUST wear a gown for the ceremony.
We recommend a smart casual dress code (no jeans or trainers) and suggest that a blouse or button-down shirt would be suitable, as the robe requires a button to fix on to at the front of your outfit. With regard to footwear, please bear in mind you will be walking up stairs onto the stage when you collect your certificate.
There will be professional photographers at the Ceremony. This is not compulsory but is a service that comes highly recommended year on year. Family members and friends may be included in these photographs.
You can pre-order these services if you wish or purchase them on the day.
You may place your orders for gowning and photography from 15th July once your results have been confirmed. Do not order if your results are unsuccessful or unconfirmed. Any resit students will have the opportunity to order gowning and photography at a later date.
Please note that you will not be able to graduate unless you are wearing a gown.

The deadline for ordering gowns is 4th September (11th September for resit students).

On the day
Due to the number of graduands being gowned, we are staggering arrival times by faculty. Please see the timetable below for your allotted time. Gowning will take place on the ground (lower) floor in the Admirals room followed by any photography services in the Maritime room along the corridor.
